Begin to Love Yourself with Love Your name

Hope you guys have amazing day!! Well, my name is Kartika Febiyanti and this is my first post ever on blog. In my first post this time I was inspired by the latest album of South Korean boy band, BTS entitled "Love Yourself".

How do you love yourself? I think you can start with a small thing that is loving the name pinned by your parents. Because the name that is in you is your identity and has meaning and contains prayer in it. Do you think that I also love my name? Well, I am here as the author of this post, of course I also have to love my name right, right? However, when I was in elementary school I had time to wonder about the meaning of the name embedded in me. A surprising answer came from my parents that they did not know the meaning of my first name. The name "Febiyanti" was given because I was born in February and because my father's last name was Yanto, and because I was a daughter, it was changed to "Yanti". Time goes by, and I don't think about the meaning of my name. When I was in high school, my friend at that time used to use the application "kamusku" to write their names so that the application would be mentioned. At that time I also wanted my name to be named by the application. I was surprised because my first name meant, "kartika" which means "star". Because at that time I'm still didn't care, I thought it was a joke. But recently I searched again and it turned out that the blog http://namanua.com/nama-bayi/kartika.html turned out to have the same meaning as the application "kamusku" which is "star". Finally, in 19 years of life I know my name means star in February. Am i happy? Yes, of course, have I loved my name? Even though I don't know the meaning of my first name but I like the name given by my parents. 

So, my question to the readers is

'Have you love your name? what makes the name so important? '

On the third week of september, under a blazing sun, my Reading Lecturer taught in class and gave an article entitled "Do people like their first names?". Below is the article.

In the article there are two girls named Delana Pence and Ember Gibson. They have the same case that they do not like their names. They have similiar reason, it is because of people around them mispronounced their name. Are you thinking what is it about names that makes them important, anyway? Why do they matter? In that article give that In the book The Language Of  Names, Justin Kaplan and Anne Bernays seek to answer such question. The point of their answer is name define us. "They're the anchor around which we build our identity," Evans said "When you think of yourself, the first thing you think of is your name." So that's why I said that to begin love yourself you can start from little things that is start to love your name. 

In the article there are also some questions. This is the question that I’ve answer. You can also answer it in the comment column .

First question, if you have a child, what would you name him or her? Why? If you already have a child, what name did you choose? Why?

If I have a daughter I will give her name Raqila Athaya Labibah which has the meaning of giving from God who is always doing good and smart. 

If I have a son I will give him name Rizky Atharauf Faeyza which means the gift of God in the form of pious children who can succeed later.

Second question what are your three favourite English names for males? For females?

For males I will give names

1. Harry 

If you think Harry Potter you are absolutely right. I was inspired by the Harry Potter figure because he was a good, smart, brave child and didn't give up easily

2. Charlie.

I am a fan of Charlie Puth. He is very talented. He has a good voice, writes his own song lyrics and has beautiful lyrics also produces his own song and also handsome man :D

3. Marquez 

1.      

I am a big fan of Marc Marquez. He is a young talented rider from MotoGp class. He is the youngest world champion in MotoGp history. Unless talented he always works hard and never give up in the races, and he has good looking for making woman fall in love with him.

For woman I will give names

1. Bella 

Why did I choose Bella Hadid? Because besides her supermodel, she was a Muslim and marched against Trump's decision. "From the beginning I came to America, my father was a refugee who sought asylum here. Of course Trump's ban made me and my sister (Gigi and Anwar Hadid) beaten. My father is a religious person, and he always prays with us. I am proud to be a Muslim," he said to Porter Magazine.

2. Kylie

I choose Kylie Jenner becase she was a young age hier business had been a great success. She even became the No. 1 richest person in the world and entered the Forbes magazine. The effort that she struggled with was finally inspired by it.

3. Kate

Kate Middleton or known as Duchess of Cambridge and as Prince William's wife has always been the public's attention, not only because of her beauty, but also her fashion style which is always fashionable, as well as her daily life, which was often considered similar to fairy tales. She has high social spirit. Kate as her companion was also involved in the prince's William social agenda. In fact, Kate herself began to have many social agendas that she attended with joy and enthusiasm despite the participation of Prince William. Everything is done with sincerity.

The last question is if you could change your name, why would you change it to? Why?

Even though in elementary school I didn't know the meaning of my name and just found out what it means now, but I never hated giving my parents names. I never thought about changing it. 19 years I live with this name and I make a lot of sweet, proud and sad memories. I have loved myself for a long time with little things that is starting to love my name even though I don't know what it means. Because what is the meaning of a name if you never respect others. My message, if you don't respect the names of other people so how can they finally love themselves if you make a small thing like their name as a joke. Be Respects to each others with this little things. So do you. Begin loving yourself from little things first by loving your own name.
